About

I received my PhD at the universite de Rouen (France) in the laboratory of experimental neuropsychopharmacology under the supervision of Dr Dominique Duterte-Boucher and Pr Jean Costentin where I worked on the predisposition factors to drug use and addiction in rodents. Then I joined the department of experimental psychology of the university of Cambridge (UK) under the supervision of Pr Barry Everitt where I worked on the neural mechanism of compulsive drug use despite adverse consequences in rats. I then joined the Institute of La Timone in Marseille (France) under the supervision of Dr Christelle Baunez where I investigated the relevance of using deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus in the treatment of addictive behaviour in rats. Thanks to personnal fellowship from INSERM/NIDA I joined the laboratory of Dr Yavin Shaham in the internal program of National Institute of Drug Abuse in Baltimore (USA) where I worked on contextual relapse of cocaine seeking after punishment-imposed abstinence in rat. I then joined the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine (USA) under the supervision of Dr Adam Mar where I worked on attention and nicotine or alcohol use in mice. Then in September 2019, I joined the laboratory of Neuromodulation of Cortical and Subcortical Circuits, at IIT under the supervision of Dr Raffaella Tonini where I am currently working on the role of serotoninergic neurons of the dorsal raphe in behavioral flexibility and punishment thanks to the Marie Sklodowska Curie individual fellowship FLEX5.
